🥾 Hiking in New Marlborough

Every year, the Berkshires draw folks from all around the country to partake in its hiking. Even the Appalachian Trail comes through here.

  • York Lake

    York Lake is a man-made lake that has a small sand beach that is great for swimming when the weather is hot out. There is a nice hour-long hike around the lake as well. You won't see a ton of people here but it's really nice. Has a small boat launch as well.

  • Umpachene Falls

    A real local spot, the falls are wide and are just a few hundred feet from the parking area.

  • Campbell Falls
    Campbell Falls Rd, New Marlborough, MA 01259 (directions)

    A nice, tall, picturesque waterfall that is a short but steep hike down from the trailhead. Great to take a dip or have a picnic at the base of the falls.

    A nice little uphill hike right next to the Race Brook Lodge. Parking can be tough when it's busy though.

    A nice uphill and somewhat strenuous hike. Lots of parking, just north of Great Barrington. Pretty popular as well.
